Donna Wengradt, 28, is a pioneer twice over. She is one of the first occupants of Penryn's handsome new Wyndham House development and she's a member of the team that launched Cornwall's newest radio station, Atlantic FM.

Donna is an account manager in the radio station's sales department - but Wyndham House needed precious little "selling" to her.

Aware of the outstanding value on offer, and with the properties being snapped up long before they had been built, she drove to the New Homes Company, was shown the plans by sales adviser, and straightaway reserved her £114,950 a one-bedroom flat.

She likes it so much - "the reality has even exceeded my expectations" - that she recommended Wyndham House to two friends, who have now also moved in to become neighbours!

"When I made my reservation, I hadn't even seen the site," Donna recalls. "A friend had recommended it to me when the excavations were under way and I looked at the website and downloaded the brochure.

"The place sold itself - I know a good thing when I see it! I took a friend with me, just to make absolutely sure, but when asked if I wanted it I had no hesitation - I signed the reservation fee cheque for £300 there and then."

"I was thrilled when I moved in. The reality has even exceeded my expectations, which were pretty high to start with! I can't fault it. And the way they have designed the flats - individually and as a complex is really good.

"I'm now living in a brand new, really good quality property. It's spacious and so quiet - so set back and tucked in that people actually have a hard job finding it! I've also got a balcony with a river view."
